Boys Basketball 

 

Chess Club

  • Sponsors: Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Zachar
  • Description: Chess Club is open to both experienced and beginning players. Chess Club is fun and rewarding and requires commitments. Please read the following requirements to make sure you understand the commitments involved with this club. To be considered for Chess Club, a teacher recommendation and parent permission signature are required. Good attendance is mandatory for inclusion in chess club. After two consecutive absences, you will be dropped from the roll. Members must have attended a minimum of 1⁄2 of the meetings to be a member in good standing.
  • Meeting Times: Starting October 22nd, we will meet every Tuesday for 6 weeks from 7:00-7:40 am.
 

Cross Country

  • Sponsors: Mrs.Taylor and Mrs.Tucker
  • Description: Running cross country meets with MYA
  • Meeting Times: Practice Wed. mornings at 7 and meets on Monday evenings at Shelby Farms
 

LEGO Club

  • Sponsor: Ms. Ayers, Mrs. Hammond, Mrs. McKinney, Mrs. Traywick, Mrs. Reynolds
  • Description: A building, creating, and playing club geared for Kindergarten through second-grade students.
  • Meeting Information: 2nd semester starting in January, 7:00-7:40, once a week

Pearls and Lace

  • Sponsors: Mrs. Zachar, Mrs. Barnes, and Mrs. Beasley
  • Description: The purpose of this club is to promote social competence and confidence in a variety of social situations by teaching life skills for success in the classroom and the community. Students will be selected by their homeroom teacher. We will begin our first 6-weeks this Fall with 4th grade; our next 6-week session for 3rd grade will begin February; Spring dates for 5th grade TBD based on testing schedules.
  • Meeting Times: Wednesdays during lunch for 6-weeks per grade (grades 3-5).

Safety Patrol

  • Sponsors: Mrs. Ralston
  • Description: Safety Patrol students will help monitor our hallways in the mornings.
  • Meeting Times: Daily from 7:40 - 8:00 am.

Tech Bytes

  • Sponsor: Mrs. Marshall and Mrs. Thomas
  • Description: Do you love robotics and video games? Do you like creating and editing videos? In our innovative technologies club, you will learn about coding, robotics, animation, video, and green screen. Students will be actively exploring and creating with these technologies. 1st Semester: 3rd - 5th Grades, 2nd Semester: 1st - 2nd Grades

Theatre Club

  • Sponsor: Mrs. Thomas
  • Description: Theatre Club is a dramatic arts program at Rivercrest Elementary. We have performed plays such as "Pirates!", "Joust!" and "Seussical Kids". We are going to be performing "Aladdin Kids" this year. We look forward to a great production!
  • Meeting Information: Tuesdays and Thursday (First Semester) 3:00 - 4:00. Monday - Thursday (after Christmas) 3:00 - 4:30
