Sharonda Rose earned a Bachelor's Degree from Tennessee State University and obtained her graduate degree and administrative license from the University of Memphis and Bethel University. Her overall educational experience spans twenty years, five of those as principal of Rivercrest Elementary. She spent eleven years as a classroom teacher, two years in BCS Student Services, and three years as an assistant principal. Prior to becoming principal, Ms. Rose was one of 26 assistant principals in Tennessee to be selected as a fellow for the Governor's Academy for School Leadership through Vanderbilt University. Under her leadership in Bartlett, she has helped lead Rivercrest to Reward School Status consecutive years, Level 5 Designation, and most recently became the first school in Bartlett to become Tennessee STE(A)M Designated through the Tennessee Department of Education and Tennessee STEM Innovation Network.
Ms. Rose was raised in Memphis, Tennessee and is a 2nd generation educator. She is a mother to three children who inspires her to continue learning and being a champion for all students. She loves being a proud Rivercrest Redbird and strives to provide students with 21st century skills and innovative hands-on STEAM learning.
